Teej Celebration


M.G.N.College of Education, Jalandhar celebrated the festival of Rainy season, Teej in the college premises with full fun and fervour. On this occasion, female students and teachers tattooed their hands with different Heena designs in Mehndi Competition. Students of the College Ruhinder, Amanpreet, Harpreet, Jasleen, Ritu and Surekha presented group dances. Priyanka, Lypsy, Harpreet and Pooja Paul mesmerized the audience with their folk songs. In Mehndi Competition Rupali stood first, Bhagya stood second and Rupali Juneja got third position. All the students and teachers also took swings in the campus, which is an auspicious ritual of the festival.

Speaking on the occasion, Mrs Neelu Jhanji Acting Principal, gave her best wishes to all the students and staff members. So also emphasized the need to preserve Punjabi culture for the preservation of our rich Indian heritage. Dr.Pooja Bhardwaj and Mrs.Sharan acted as the judges of Competition. Ruhinder conducted the stage. Mrs.Gurpreet Kaur organized the entire event. Amongst others Dr.Meharban Singh, Mrs.Shivani Gulati, Mrs.Geetanjali Mittu, Ms.Gurpreet Kaur, Mr.Aman Singh, Ms.Gaganpreet Kaur, Mrs.Sakshi Sharma, Ms.Jaspreet Kaur, Mr.Maninder Pal Singh, Dr. Viplove Kundra, Ms. Arpita Sood, Ms. Jasleen Kaur, Ms. Taranpreet Kaur & Mrs. Sunayna Thakur witnessed the function.
