M.G.N. College of Education, Jalandhar organized ‘Teacher’s Day’ in the college campus. Speaking on the occasion, Acting Principal Mrs Neelu Jhanji emphasized the need of dedication of the Nation’s builders towards teaching profession and respect for the teacher – student bond immensely. While giving the life sketch of Dr Radha Krishnan, she reflected upon his journey from a teacher to the politician, who always emphasized the role of a teacher as a friend, philosopher and a guide and compared teachers with God. She also stressed that teacher should build a sense of self-introspection so that they can develop the capacity of constructive work. 

On this occasion Pardeep reflected upon role of teacher in present scenario, Kewal Singh gave life sketch of Dr Radha Krishnan and Harmeen gave the history of teachers day. Monika and Kavita through their poems gave tribute to all the teachers. Navpreet reiterated the letter writtern by Abrahim Lincoln to his son’s teacher. Through two documentories history of teacher’s day and anecdotes from the life of Dr Radha Krishnan were displayed. Through an enactment, students also depicted the changed role of teacher and changed teaching. On this occasion the students who attended the workshop on Digital India held at G.N.D.U., Amritsar campus conducted by Ministry of Electronics and Informations Technology were also honoured.

Navpreet conducted the stage. The whole programme was co-ordinated under the supervision of Dr Radha Arora and Dr Ravjeet Kaur. Amongst others Dr.Meharban Singh, Dr.Pooja Bhardwaj, Mrs.Gurpreet Kaur, Mrs.Shivani Gulati, Mrs.Geetanjali Mittu, Ms.Gurpreet Kaur, Mrs.Daljeet Sheetak, Mrs.Sharan, Mr.Aman Singh, Ms.Gaganpreet Kaur, Ms.Sakshi Sharma, Mr.Maninder Pal Singh, Ms.Arpita Sood, Ms.Preeti, Ms.Reetika, Ms.Jaspreet Kaur and Ms.Pooja Jaswal witnessed the event.
