- Internal Quality Assurance Cell and Legal Aid Clinic of Montgomery Guru Nanak College of Education, Jalandhar organized a seminar on the theme "Say No to Corruption; Commit to the Nation" ON 02.11.2023.The Resource Person of the day was Dr.Rupam Jagota, Head Department of Law, Associate Dean G.N.D.U. Regional Campus, Jalandhar. While speaking, the resource person said that as Science and Technology are advancing so is the corruption. Everyday new scams are coming out. Further, she added that continuous vigilance practices, checks and constraints need to be made at management level to stop the corrupt practices. She also said that the corruption begins with the culture of exchange of gifts and is deep rooted in the society from ages. She also suggested that to stop corruption we need to do self check, review situation, identify the of source of corruption, sensitize society and finally the provision of legal punishment needed to reduce corruption.
- During the alumnus meet, an Alumni sponsored seminar on the topic ‘Child Psychology in Teaching” was organized ON 09.06.2023. The Resource Person of the seminar Dr.Harjit Kaur, Retired Associate Professor, Montgomery Guru Nanak College of Education, Jalandhar. While speaking,she elaborated that every child is different and have different needs, she further elaborated different methods in order to cater to their needs at different stages of their life and education.

A Seminar was organized in the college on "Cyber Awareness Day" on 06.10.2022 for Students of B.Ed, Teaching and Non-Teaching Staff. During the seminar, Komal presented her views on Cyber Crime, Kashish deliberated about the various categoies of Cyber Crime, Sawangeet made everyone aware regarding the Cyber Safety. The programme was concluded with a video on safety tips to be followed while using internet.

N.S.S. Unit and Red Ribbon Club of Montgomery Guru Nanak College of Education, Jalandhar organized an extension lecture cum meditation session under the Har Ghar Dhyan Campaign, on the theme "Introduction to Meditation as a Solution for Positive Mental Health" on 07.04.2023. The resource person of the session was Ms.Archana Sukhija, Director Training, The Art of living.
During the session, the resource person said that in today’s scenario, to cope up with the challenging situations, we need to do meditation. She further added that we need to become more flexible in our thoughts and attitude to lead a happy life. She also suggested to observe the breath and keeping smile on face to keep ourself in present and be calm. She further added that the meditation is a wonderful and most useful technique to reduce anger from past and worries of the future. She further added that meditation is deconcentration. During the session, she also taught the audience the right way to meditate.

- Webinar on Nation Building through Value Based Education To celebrate 75 years of
Independence, M.G.N. College of Education, Jalandhar organized a webinar on the topic 'Nation
Building through Value Based Education: Role of a Teacher' on 05.08.21. The resource person
for the webinar was Dr.Dinesh Arora, Associate Professor, P.G. Department of Political Science,
D.A.V College, Jalandhar.
- One day webinar was organized on the theme 'Healthy Food for Healthy Life' on 30.09.2021.
Ms.Monisha Sikka Ex-Senior Dietician, Tagore Hospital, Jalandhar was the resource person who
acquainted all the faculty members and NSS volunteers with the healthy life style followed by an
interactive session with the audience.
- Under the students and faculty enrichment programme Internal Quality Assurance Cell of the
College organized an extension lecture on the topic 'Effects of Depression on Adolescents
Health' on 05.04.2022. The resource person of the day was Dr.Himanshu Sareen, HOD,
Psychiatry Department, PIMS, Jalandhar.
- Under the quality enrichment programme, IQAC Cell of the College of organized a seminar on
'Writing Research Paper' on 20.05.22. The resource person of the day was Dr.Vikas Kumar,
Associate Professor, D.A.N. College for Women, Nawanshahr. |
